Cool Galaxy Drop (Lock to squad, 1000m+ high)

I have 2 questions with regards to Galaxy Drops.

1. How do you make a galaxy (or any other vehicle) to be squad only, thereby effectively ejecting all passengers so that you can have a make shift forced drop cert?

2. If you use the method I mentioned above at about 1000m, will your passengers die? Inversely, if I were to eject on my own at a high altitude, would I die if I am not an LA?

Not sure if this questions have been addressed before so I'm asking hehe.

Many thanks.

Ohh okay. Many thanks. I'll try it out when the servers are up again. Will post if my "experiment" was successful or if there were 11 or so casualties. >:3

If they dont land on a flat surface they will die. Key here is good gal piloting and knowing the lay of the land, expanding the mini map really helps with lining the gal up over a nice flat DZ.

Re: Galaxy Drop (Lock to squad, 1000m+ high)

So I tried the whole 1000m forced drop by limiting the ship to squad only. Worked like a charm! Also discovered that if those you've dropped managed to kill someone, you get xp! I was also able to kill some guy who used a squad drop and I managed to hit him with my wing. Bad luck on his part, yey for me.

My only concern now is its difficult to maneuver the galaxy around the base as you can't look down. I tried using the freelook button, expecting id be able to look around and see where i am, but to no avail. Does it not work?

You can only free-look in the cockpit not in external view. All about knowing the proportions of your vehicle

T is default external view.

Ooooh so that's how you free-look. @_@

The proportions of the vehicle isn't really the issue with regards to my flying needs. I just need to look left / right directly in order to correctly fly around a particular spot clockwise / counterclockwise. :P
