Hey guys, my name is BWoods, I'm a longtime PC gamer and have been completely amazed by Planetside 2. So much in fact that I have been moving toward making my stream almost entirely PS2 related. Before I get into my PS2 plans allow me to give you a quick history on my stream.
About two years ago I began streaming as a hobby. Initially it was a cool technical project I undertook in order to pass the time while I played games. At first I only played PS3 and XBox360 games but knowing I had a pretty good gaming PC I decided to give TF2 a try. From there I just kept streaming more and more and improving my stream quality to the point I wanted to start doing this seriously.
So after a year had passed I gave myself a goal and an ultimatum: grow my stream and community to a reasonable size before the year is up or stop and get a new hobby. Streaming is expensive, both in time and attention, you constantly need to be on top of everything and it's a grind at times. Fast forward to almost exactly a year later: Twitch sends out a blog notice asking for small-time streamers who believe they can be the next big thing to submit their channel for review. It's a long shot but I go ahead and throw my name into the hat, expecting this to be the make or break point. A few weeks later I'm getting an email stating that I've been selected as one of Twitch's "Hidden Gems" and am given some promotion from the site itself, including front page status.
Now I'm getting into PS2 and I'm hoping to grow with this game and community. My overall plan is to create an Outfit filled with viewers of the stream who wish to play with me in-game. Connectivity and interaction are two of my most valued attributes for a stream and I constantly keep the viewers involved, be it in discussion or in-game. I'd love to have some of the community here drop by and give the stream a look. Currently I play NC on the SolTech server.
