01/30/13 NC and VS team up on TR on connery

Really amazing fight happened on connery last wednesday. Probably the best fight I've ever experienced in planetside to date.

Backstory: TR on connery have held the Indar continent for nearly a month and a half now since shortly after release. On 01/30/13 around 5pm pacific the NC and VS leadership came together and decided to work together to break the TR hold. This led to one of the most amazing last stand defense battles I've ever experienced.

Welcome to every night on Waterson. We've actually watched Reavers and Sycthes flying in formation and NC & VS firing on TR positions from behind the same cover.

I've seen no agreements between the VS and NC. There has been a difference with how the VS play on Indar since the UES influx. They actually attack Northward regularly.

There was some guy on reddit claiming he was helping to organize the Vanu and NC - for whatever that is worth.

At the very least though, it was pretty clear people wanted to remove our link. It's not often that you see the vanu and nc both attacking hexes just outside of our warpgate like that. NS Salvage is a really remote base to get to.

I was there, I was on the Eastern front against NC though. It was intense when we rushed out of gate with dozens of tanks.

Yeah I heard about this from my mates in CCG, feel bad I wasn't on to participate (work's a bitch like that).

I heard that near the end 666 messed it up though- they started attacking the Vanu's territory, which in turn basically ended the alliance and gave the TR breathing room to push out again.

I don't know how much truth there is to that, but I wouldn't be too surprised if that's how it went down honestly; 666 is the closest Zerg/Tyranids/Khorne Beserkers/rabid savages-equivalent this game has.

Leader of CCG here, I am a member of a council which consists of outfit leaders on TR and Vanu that is mostly for co-ordinating cross faction events, however, that night I was fed up with the TR owning Indar for over a month, so I got the Vanu leaders to pull together about 6-8 platoons worth of men while I pulled most of the NC up north on our side.

It lead to a final battle at camp connery which ended in TR favor due to some NC members getting greedy and backstabbing the Vanu during our push. Was a great fight and I'm glad you all enjoyed it

EDIT - and I was the one on reddit claiming to have organized it.
