So I was looking through the offical forums and I found this thread right here...It actually answered my question about why I have been getting killed more since the patch.
This is very bad news for cloakers, and personally as infiltrator is my main and preferred play style...I feel this under powers a class that was already crippled from the start...Hopefully this gets fixed soon. |

That was since beta man, consider why you are getting killed more as something else. Maybe more people are coming on board with low end settings? Seriously, I saw this since beta because I have two machines here that run PS2, different settings.

Even with a pretty decent rig on high settings, it's not like cloaking makes you completely invisible. Especially when you go in and out of cloak. I hear the sound of a cloaker, I know that I start paying attention for "Predator-flage"...I imagine I am not the only one.

That's not actually true. For a while in beta, cloakers were completely impossible (I think, or too close to tell) to see on low settings. Then, in the Amerish patch, they were made incredibly easy to see, in a way that seemed bugged. That lasted for a week or two (probably when you last saw it) until they fixed it to be something like what it was at release, much harder to see than on medium or hard, but still possible if the cloaker was being obvious. In the last patch, they changed it back to something close to the Amerish patch (not as bad, though). I just wish they could find something in the middle.

I play on ultra low settings and for me at least its a huge pain trying to keep track of cloaked infiltrators. If I catch a flicker of their presator camo I just spam bullets in their general direction searching for hit markers. Really it takes only a couple of hits to kill those pajama wearing infiltrators.

honestly,i think it has its own ups and downs. upside: non-infiltrators can spot cloaked enemies more easily. downside: infiltrators have a serious cloaking disadvantage. i too hope that they can find a middle playing ground taht makes everybody happy.
