Hello everyone, Grinn here!

On this most amorous of holidays, we thought it appropriate to dedicate our time and talents to that which we truly love: PlanetSide 2!

What better way than in the form of poetry!? That’s right, we want poems from you, about PlanetSide 2. It can be about anything in the scope of PlanetSide 2’s content and lore, it can even be about the awesome dev team behind the madness.

But wait, it gets better! The winners of this poetry contest will be announced on Friday Night Ops and have their poems read live by the fabulous Margaret Krohn herself!

Ok, ok, stop yelling, what are the rules?
Simple! Post a poem here, and prepare to be judged! ...ok, let me break it down.

• Any type of poetry is allowed, and any length will be accepted. (If too long, or too offensive, it runs the risk of not being read on FNO, keep it in mind, but don’t let it spurn your creativity).

• Must be related to your affectionate, infatuated, and maybe even passionate feelings and/or thoughts of PlanetSide 2 in some way, and crafted in legible English.

• You may submit as many poems as you can conjure.

• Poems must be submitted no later than the morning of February 15th, 9am PST.

• You must include which dog tag you are interested in within your post.

• Winners will be chosen by a number of judges, as well as your peers.
  The poems with the most upvotes or recognition will get special attention of the judges. All aspects will be considered during judgement; creativity, cleverness, style, and skill. All poems have a chance to win.

• If you live outside the U.S., you can still win, but will need to pay shipping for your winnings. As PS2TV is an independent group, affording international shipping isn’t much of an option. Willing to negotiate if the poem is especially amazing.

I’m sorry? “A number of judges”?
Yes, I will be one of the judges, as will your peers as explained above. There will also be a few mystery judges helping me through the decision process, and they will remain a mystery so to avoid any bias or influence in your poetry. They might be a PS2 dev...they might be your 4th grade teacher.
Right, ok, you said something about dog tags?
Absolutely! We have 9 dog tags to give out as prizes to the top 9 poems submitted, 3 for each empire.

Ok, great, anything else?
Indeed! I won’t be able to monitor this thread constantly, which means some poems, even if great, might slip thru the cracks. So, if you really want me to see it, tweet us! Tweet a link to your poem to @PlanetSide2TV and I’ll be sure to read it! Feel free to tweet your poems to the PS2 team as well! I’m sure @PurrfectStorm, @mhigby, @Arclegger and @PS_TRay would love to hear what you all have to say! And if they like it, they might re-tweet, and then I’ll definitely see it as well!
