Saw my first 100% definite cheat last night

I've played this game a lot. Really a lot - check my sig

Last night was the first time I can definitely say I encountered someone who was cheating (though like everyone, I've had plenty of "really?! how did he make that shot!?" moments).

I won't name names, but last night at Andvari Bio Lab on Esamir my squadmate and I were both killed while still inside the spawn-room, by carbine-fire from a particular NC (once while I was still inside the spawn-tube FFS). This was on Cobalt.

Anyway, we both reported him, so hopefully he'll be banned. SOE being SOE though, I'm not holding my breath and I'm not going to stress over it.

So, is this a new cheat/exploit, or is this something people have seen before?

I think it's the same old cheat that let's you go underground.

Ive gotten killled in the spawn room a couple of times on woodman. I just send up the report, and if he kills like multiple people in my squad, and is no were to be seen then we all send up reports. These guys are killing the game slowly, its like cancer. It doesnt matter though since you can easily just make an account with out any accountability, once they ban that character you can just create a new one, its not like SOE give a fuck. They just hope that he maybe spends a little money on SC, but most smart hackers use a side character to cheat, its just two easy.

Either what Snyden wrote or some wall hack, if there is one.

Said hacker almost certainly will get banned... Might just take 24+ hours before it happens:/
I don't know how it is on the US servers but on the EU oines we have to be very patient when it comes to GMs banning hackers.

Last night I was in the top room of a tower and somehow an enemy TR sniper shot me while I was in there.

EDIT: this is the first time i have seen anything like this happen in months.

It's all a bit depressing.

But on the upside, blatant cheating like this seems to be a very rare occurrence on Cobalt.

This is classic right here, I get killed this way a lot. Top of the tower behind the shield, most of the time im there working on burster maxes, repairing and laying down ammo, then bammmm snipped. I just send up name and respawn, the most times Ive had it happen was 4 times in a row same sniper. Sent his name up each time. /report is all I have been doing lately on PS2, I wonder if I can get xp for that to.

Maybe that was just the case of shield not rendering for the shooter? I haven't heard of any cheats that actually allow shooting through walls or shield. Most of the underground cheaters use heavy assault. And I think you can't use the underground cheat on upper floors, since you would be seen and therefore you could be killed.

It's a new one, and I believe it does not include aimbot. Encountered a total of 6 of these guys on Waterson in 2 days now, they're all anti-grav moving with noclip, but none of them were using aimbots.

It was kind of funny watching at one point 3 Snipers sitting ~300m up in the air using their pistols because they were out of sniper rounds.

This one is not the old underground movement one, it's an anti-grav. There's no pain field directly below spawn rooms, so they sit under there and when someone spawns they pop up high enough to get shots off and kill the people spawning.
One of them last night during a fight at Ikanam Bio Lab was proving he wasn't the brightest. He was popping in and out of the top of the Bio Lab, killing our infantry that were on the roof. So I went inside the Bio Lab and killed him ~4-5 times before he realized how he was dying.

Didn't the old one have a choice of using aimbot or not? And noclip was anti-grav too. I can't be 100% sure, I've only seen a couple of videos on youtube.

Ive seen a guy use a particular spawnable item to just slip beneath the ground. This is a known issue with the ground and using this defect in geometry will get you banned.

there are pay2cheat sites that even proudly show how their cheats for ps2 work in youtube videos.
i have seen such a video and there seems to be everything available you could think of. from aimbots to wallhacks. sorry for not putting a link on here, but i don´t want to help those assholes to find more customers. i sent the links to higby on pm but i don´t know why soe seems to be unable to take legal actions against such scumm

Just last night?
My outfit and I have encountered so many cheaters by now.
The most epic one was a guy that in less them one second killed my whole platoon, he was lvl 1 when he killed me, but when he was banned he was nearly lvl 20! I asked other platoons on Indar and I think he killed the entire TR population on Indar before he was banned.
Also I know some players form WarZ and in that game there is not the best player, there is the best cheater!
When he joined me on ps-2 (not because I asked him for) I invited him for my pub squad.
He didn't know anything on the game, I said I was going to get him on the warp gate, he say he didn't need it, I thinked he was a fast learned an already got a vehicle.
He told me to open the map, he moved from the NW warp gate from Esamir to the pit in less them 3 seconds, Walking!
He was also using wall hack telling where everyone was.
Also he got unlimited fuel for his light assault, he didn't even know there where other classes.
He as constantly complain about the lack of ammo, so I placed it like 4 bases away and we always returned to where I dropped it to get more.
When I said to him to get and engineer so ammo won't be a problem, he got a heavy, because the simbol of it is in his understanding, the am I symbol.
I reported him the second I saw he moving from the warp gate in the speed of light, we played for 6 hours and he wasn't banned during that time.
He was also using no recoil and aim bot.
I was also keeping a eye on the yell chat to see if anyone was going to complain about him on it, nobody did it.
I Asked a fellow guys he killed if they didn't think he was a cheater they just said it must be lag.

He uses his headshot aimbot intermittently. Turns it on and off...

Snap to target, headshot aimbot.

He was killing someone else, a bro named sexstar.

I was watching the skirmish between him and sexstar from about 300 meters out, stealth'd up near a tree.

Literally, the moment sexstar died, Rox's SV-88 snaps to the next target, which is my head about 300 meters away... and lands 2 direct shots on my skull. I am alive and he stops shooting, he looks at me across the field and starts running towards me.

He is thinking, fuck I just aimbotted Str8Dumpin on accident, he probably knows this.

He decides to run closer to make it seem a litter more legit before finishing me off.

Lots like him out there, suiciding to keep K/D low etc... and only using hacks occassionally. pretty disgusting.
