So I don't know about you, but when I logged in today to check the forums, I found this ad for TurtleBeach and the girl reminded me a lot like a certain developer we all know. I know the hair is not the same, but the way she wears the head sets and the split in the hair was similar to a picture, I remember of Luperza before she shaved her hair. Luperza one time mentioned that she should totally do a turtle beach ad, and based on this latest ad, I think she probably right. What do you guys think? |

I had one of their headsets for 1 1/2 years and part of the upper band connecting the earphones broke. I ended up sending in the headset for RMA and despite being out of warranty they fixed it all up for me. I was pretty impressed. Used it for another 2 years until it eventually broke again, though hitting the floor constantly from the top of my desk didn't help with that (tripping over the wire).

Plantronics were good, but I had them fail on me too. My corsair ones have lasted me a bit so far. Turtlebeach just has that image in my head of at max a mid range, but maybe i'm a little biased.
But hey, a little advertising wouldn't hurt.

Turtle Beach is ass, their fancy headsets put out the clearest 2-channel stereo I've ever heard. Allegedly they provide full 3D audio if your head is shaped a certain way, but every TB headset I've ever put on just gave me left and right with no directional fidelity. The worst is that they claim their top-end headsets can have the internal speakers adjusted with an extra component, but that component is NEVER accessible (not even at GDC and E3) so there's no way they can prove it to me.
I've been rocking the same Plantronics Gamecom Pro 1 headset for a few years, it hasn't let me down at all. Before that I was using Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000, which still works fine, but one of the speakers is a bit loose and wobbly. Both provide full surround sound with no adjustments.

i ordered a turtlebeach wireless headset a month ago. and i sent it back 2 days later.
my 20€ ps3 sony headset had better sound than that 130€ turd L bitch thing. with scratching noises and connection losses every time i touched the headset. never again! but i haven´t found any replacement yet. is there a wireless headset with actually good sound? and nice features like connecting with 2 sources (bluetooth) seperated volume for chat and gamesound and things like that? the features of the turd L bitch would have been amazing, if it would work reliable and sound better.
