There are a number of things about the in-game store I've found annoying. Whilst I'm sure there are a lot of poeple who can login every day, a lot more of us have work, personal commitments or other actvities in real life that prevent us from examining every new, limited-time offer that is available, some of which are Bundles.
In comparison to other MMOs like (the mismanaged) Star Wars: The Old Republic, they are very keen to provide the newest and discounted items alike, before they expire, to enable a substantial number of players who use their in-game currency. Another example is The Secret World, who provide the same service through their newsletters, to ensure they get the maximum number of players to support their paid DLC sales. SOE might want to consider a more diverse approach to their newsletters -- instead of having massive banners that overshadow half of the spread, preface the main features of an update with a link to them in more detail, so your company can show off whatever new items players might want whilst they're on offer. You may also want to consider offering some weapons in the store at a lower price based on their value to players in the game; not by whether they have gold or black textures on them. |

I rarely ever read the newsletters at all - one look at them and I tune out... then I hear a day or so later about offers I and other people have missed because they're no mentioned in those newsletters. They're like "wow, new update" and that's it.
It just seems stupid to post these offers on the store and then not be bothered to advertise them in a weekly digest. |

If you have twitter, a must follow for you is @PS2DailyDeals. Because someone in the community started something like this and SOE is so community driven, I highly doubt they do anything to undermine the work this person has done. He's 100% reliable and will usually have things posted with plenty of time to think about it. As you play the game you'll get more familiar with weapons and won't need to scope them out every day, and for the bundles he posts screenshots. if you don't have twitter...get it, just for this if anything. Super quick to check then as you have nothing to filter through :P. And follow @ReachCastShow too just cuz :P
