Good interview. The only thing, looking over the article, that kind of worries me though is that there seems to be some aspects of PS2 that these outfit leaders want to focus on for MLG that I'm not sure align with Planetside as a whole. In particular there were a couple comments about the overall defensibility and the ability for units to steam roll points in order to better facilitate "dynamic" gameplay.
I really don't want to see two different versions of Planetside, one for MLG and one for the actual game itself. To me, that would kill any support I have built up for this 'version' of PS2. Unfortunately, there's no real way to tell how well the game will scale down until it actually happens. |
