Servers Offline. Updated w/Patch Notes

Servers were offline this morning and have been patched:

The PlanetSide 2 servers have been updated. Players may note the following changes:

SOE Summer Sizzle items available for a limited time only!
Fireworks Flare Gun
Sparkler Hood Ornaments
Patriot Camos

Lumifiber for Sunderer, Flash, and Lightning have been added to the Depot.

I'll be looking closely at twitter too.

EDIT: According to forums, servers have transitioned from MAINT to LOCKED.
EDIT2: Servers now transitioning to UP!

Don't forget the Double EXP thing too that they 'coughed' about

Not the one happening tomorrow? hm.

It seemed like THE holiday to have fireworks for, in my opinion. I'm European, but I AM slightly aware of what goes on in the world. Sometimes.

Don't think so. The patch was really quite small (hundreds of KB) while continent-revamping patches can be whole Gigabytes in size.

EDIT: Servers going up one by one! Up and at 'em, boys! Launch the client now so you can get in early!

Flare gun is in cash shop for 700 SC or 1000 certs. All I have seen so far.

Well the only thing I noticed was the new 'X Firework Flare Gun' (X being your faction). Pretty colours and all.

Also NEXUS...

...is not in yet.

Exactly. To give details:
The 'Patriot Flare gun' is available as a TR version and NS version. The difference between them is the color of the ensuing fireworks, but we'd have to test the exact stuff in VR. If you just want fireworks, buying the NS with SC will probably get you more flare gun for the same price.
The weapon is set to expire in a bit more than 4.5 days... but unsure if this is the sale that will disappear, or the weapon itself along with whatever you paid for it. (This would be kind of a dick move by SOE though).

It just means the Unlock expires in 4.5 days but you will still own the gun afterwards. Radarx posted something in regards to this on official forums.

It would be nice if after 4.5 days the flares changed from fireworks to real working flares used to shed light on targets at night as well as blind/impare night vision.
