Freak the fuck out and go shoot yourself. Seriously, I just found out that my girl has been diagnosed with PCOS. And yes, I'm freaking out and about to shoot something. I don't know what the hell to do or even what to say. I mean, I want kids in the future, but I love my girl. I hate life. -__-" -.-"
Edit: PCOS=Polycystic Ovarian Sundrome. It means that cysts form around the ovaries and makes it damn near impossible to have kids. Last edited by HiroshiChugi; 2013-05-17 at 08:39 AM. |

Test tube babies. And worry free sex.... Then she gets pregnant becuase you think you wouldn't didn't bother with birth control and you then go oh shit I didn't want a kid yet! 8) Don't worry life will smack you down in the most inconvenient way possible!
Then you'll have 20 in the end and be starving because you can't feed them all! |

If it is the person you love and want to spend your life with, there are many, many ways to have children in a "non-traditional" way. It doesn't take anything away from the joys of parenting... or the woes either.
On a side note is this something that causes the cysts to just pop up often and regularly? My wife had a cyst the size of an orange removed before we were ever thinking about marriage and I think had another after that. But that was all, I seem to recall the Dr. saying they can be related to birth control pills. Hasn't had them since (16+ years) and 2 kids later. |

Surrogate. My cousin's wife has Lupus and it would have been very dangerous for her to have children. Originally, the fetuses would have been his sperm - her egg but again it was too dangerous to harvest her eggs. So they got a donor egg with similar heritage as her. Now they have two cute twins that are fully legally theirs. Caveat - it was not cheap.

..... same here. My wife is a cyst factory. We (wifey & I) have 2 healthy kids (in their early 20's) ....cysts are not cool. Even if you too have kids by traditional methods some day .... there is likely a part of you or your woman that will worry (always) the cysts could become cancerous. Don't give up. And like Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park ......" life will find a way...." .....so, if you stop using birth conrol - a baby is a real possibility regardless what the docs may say (or think). Head up. . |
