New PS2 API

Has anyone started migrating over form the PS2-Beta API to the PS2 API?

As far as I can see the new API is a massive step backwards, the format of the data is much harder to use, and there is a lot of data missing that was in the old API.

For example, I currently cannot find anyway to get the amount of time a player has spent in each class, which was easy to get in the old one. I also cannot find a way to get kills by empire, when resolving chars from the outfit.

It also seems they have stopped updating the data from the Beta API without telling anyone, which is pretty annoying.

I'm hoping the lack of updating is an oversight or bug, and not intentional. Still waiting to hear back.

I migrated over. Their backend seems much faster now. I think they were seeing performance issues probably with the old methods.

I tried to get some of the new statistics and got a little confused, there are so much of them...

Is the wiki up to date to the new format?

Ps2-beta does not deal well with deleted characters. Ps2 does it better. It will not return a character from the /get/ps2/character call if it has been deleted. As Morgan pointed out, unfortunately the game does not delete outfit_member records when a character is deleted. You can get around this be resolving from the outfit_member collection to the character collection:

Yea there were some hardware upgrades on the backend. Unfortunately, tons of stuff is coded for -beta including the players iPhone/Android app. It's going to be a while before people migrate. Wish they would have just launched this way.

The Beta API is working again now, apparently something crapped out at the backend.

I also take back what I said about missing data, it is all there, and more than there was before, but some of it is pretty well buried, it needs much better documentation now.
