How does someone get ownership of the default squad leader channel?
And no Im not trolling. I ranked up to 75 pretty much entirely lone wolfing it. Lately i have been started squads though and Im curious what the deal is.

On the off chance you're not trolling... When people say "Command..." in Command chat, it's just them addressing the whole channel. You're not actually speaking to anyone specific, just those who might be listening. It also serves as a way for those who are listening to know what channel you're in. Platoon Leaders have three, and sometimes more, channels going at once.
By saying "Squad," or "Platoon," or, as you've noticed, "Command," before you speak in a channel, you allow those who are listening to know what channel you're speaking in without them having to take their eyes off the action, or the map, or whatever else they might be doing. |

It's not a name it's to let the listener know it's command talk. Example: Indar Command this is DREV at Hvar Tech. Need tasking. Over.
In this example DREV is at Hvar Tech Plant on Indar and they are calling "Indar Command" as opposed to "Esamir Command" or all "Command". Everyone on Indar with command chat would be the specific group they would be talking to. I hope that cleared things up a bit. If you need to know more I am a DREV leader so I would be happy to answer them. (Instead of facepalming) |

No I got it. Back when I asked this i had always played solo before and had just started leading squads.
Most nights its more or less apparent what command is. But every now and then you hear a few squad leader who delude themselves into thinking that there is a bit more logic in the self organization and direction of squads and platoons and act like they are really talking to a commander looking for reinforcements. Thats what happened the frst day I had command chat on.
