Multiple accounts with one subscription?

I want to buy this game, but my little brother seems also interested, so I was wandering if you can have 2 accounts (not used in the same time, of course), while paying only one time the subscription...

Nope

1 copy of the game gets you 1 cd key and 1 cd key gets you 1 acount.

You get 4 chareter slots pr acount tho, so you and your brother could have 2 chareter slots each for instance.

Want 2 acounts then you'll have to buy 2 copies of the game.

Some other important info Zatrais forgot to mention was that your 4 characters have to be the same faction, so make sure you and your brother agree on one empire before you do that.

Also, if you get good pings to 2 different servers, you could play on separate servers as well and have 4 characters to yourself.

1 account = access to all 3 servers, and 4 chars on each server, one empire per server

Yeah, should have said 4 char slots on each server...

Annyways, every acount will have access to all the servers.
Means you can play PS on euro servers if you buy the game in the states and vice versa

You can still work it so that you and your brother can play (not at the same time of course) with only 1 copy of the game.

Either:
1) You both want to be the same empire, you can both have characters on the same server, would just have to be able to live with having less than 4 (I doubt I'll personally have more than 2, and maybe not even that many, so this is an insignificant drawback for me).

Or,
2) You can't play on the same game server. Advantage here is that you'll each get 4 characters, and they can be in any combination of empires.

after trying to share an account with my bro on daoc, i found that getting 2 separate ones is definitely the way to go, even if you will prolly not play at the same time most of the time.

Thanks for the answers.

1/ Can you delete your character at any moment if you want to change your empire?
2/ And the same 4 characters in the same server have to be on the same empire?
3/ It seems from what you say that the game will be hosted by 3 servers. Isn't it 3 groups of servers? The idea of thousands of players in the same machine seems a little weird for me.

1) I can't think of a single reason why they would prevent you from deleting a character instantly to make room for a new one.

2) Yes, all characters on the same server must be in the same empire....unless you want to maintain 2 accounts.

3) Server is generic. A given Planetside "server" probably consists of 20-50 (Wild guestimate, thus the large range) networked machines that comprise the game world. My thought is, 2-3 machines per continent, with a reserve of several others that can jump in and take load off of any location once the player population in the area gets above a certain level.

When we say server in the PS term we do not mean 1 single PC running the whole thing but rather one complete gaming world. One server is a lott of PC's clustered together on racks, or a server farm...

This ain't CS where your average server was run by a 13 year old using his moms comp whit a leet cable connection. Servers in PS are huge complicated networks.

Oh and there will be atleast 5 servers, probably 6.

3 in america, 2 in europe and most likely 1 in asia
