Given that the 525 spots given away in competition are only to go to US/Mexico/Canada (including one poor sod from the UK who got in through the MMPORG competition and was then told that he was disqualified as SOE had told MMPORG only to accept people from the US and Canada - what a major downer) its pretty much a foregone conclusion that there will be no europeans/internationals legitimately getting into the Open Beta.
One idea thats been mooted on the Planetside boards is for European/Internationals to pay 10 bucks for an Open beta download - itll never happen of course - but personally thats something id be willing to do, wonder if theres anyone else out there who would? Anyway, discussion thread is here if youre interested. I guess the only course for us now is  .lol.

That would be fair enough, then dont say that Open Beta would be international and have a lot of people hoping for a beta spot. That would make more sense than building up hopes and I dont think International players would actually mind that much (how SOE wants to stress test is up to them). It would save my F5 key some pain in any event.

maybe when they get the euro servers up in a few week or so, if they are ever going up, they should ban all the US players then, eh squeek? =P

some thing not really relevant to this topic but anyway...
HAH, the use of my emotion is spreading like wildfire, Hamma!!! GOGOGO and include it in the PSU selection of emotions so u wont get a scream of desperation when i stop supporting it from my website. Back to the point having this said... They should derfernatly have informed us (the europeans) that we would have no chance of getting in... I migth have been mad about it, but not as mad as i am now that i know they DIDN'T tell... Sure its their call, but plz let the world know... Edit: curse on all the evil typos...

Arg why couldnt they give us a straight freaking answer months ago, insted of letting rumors spread "Yeah man I think people outside the US are getting into beta" "Did you hear they are gonna let people fromt he Uk into beta!" It just Pisses me off they couldnt have just came right out and said it. Dave- "due to the cost of distributing the Beta disks, no one outside of the US will be aloud into beta" there, would that have been so hard? inted of just not telling us jack shit for months and leaving us hanging with the false hope of waking up one morning and seeing a shiny new Email from the sonystation with an acceptance letter! I can deal with not getting into Beta but leaving people with false hopes when you know damn fine they will never get it is just sick, sick and wrong. :Simmadown: Congrats to everyone from the US who made it into Beta I hope you Choke!

i agree with you timberwolf2k its very odd how a well funded dev team cant get a comunity manager( if there is one point em out please) asthe last game i was involved in had one and even the bloody publisher sowed there face more than these boys have and they would actualy tell you whats goin on and not just sit there claiming NDA or saying somthings coming

Anyway, this proves 2 things 1) SoE are evil and want nothing more than to take our moneys and make us unhappy. 2) Hulk Hogan is -the- greatest wrestler of all time (even better than the Ultimate Warrior AND Razor Ramone put together!!1!) DOWN WITH BETA! VIVA LA REVALUTION!!!
