I'll miss the 'sportier' look of the PS1 Lightning. The uncovered tracks gave it a look that was more concerned with mobility than with preventing damage. But this looks pretty sweet too. I do agree its a tad too long though.

Why does it have two man hatches? Theres one above the drivers position, and one on top of the turret. Just in case you want to make a 2 man variant?

I kinda like the look of the long lightning. The short version looks cool, too, though.

I think the longer look of the Lightning looks great. It also has a low to the ground profile which is good. I think a lot of people need to remember we can customize the vehicles. There may be a variant/option or a bigger turret you could put on top to make the lightning look more suited for its size.

I like the longer chassis a lot more, but I think if the cannon barrel was a little longer relative to the rest of the body, it would look better.

I agree. I thought that was a heavy tank. Looks nothing like the PS1 lighting. Is this for real. How could they even call it the lighting. It looks to slow and heavy armored.

I think the length makes it look faster than the old lightning, the sole purpose for having longer tracks in the front would be for speed. It does look bigger thought. The vanguards looked huge though in the gameplay vid.

The long and low look to the lightening really resembles a tank-killer style. Absolutely love it.
It's not made to be covered with half a dozen weapons, it's purpose built for speed and taking advantage of cover and low hills are much as possible.

Also SOE, don't change anything about it, it looks amazing. I would hate to see a little thing running round the field. The new lightning look big and threatening.

Dont change anything just because a few folks don't like it.

Stop thinking about "oh that looks too long" and start thinking logically. The longer tracks give it plenty of traction and torque. Logically, it's a solid design.
