Well, I plan to put in roughly 0-20 euros a month, if there's something available I'm wishing to purchase. I love cosmetic fluff.

Spent 30$ (got 60$ of station cash) on july 4th for the game and am thinking of dropping another 150 on a flight stick.

My computer is always up to date.... I play lots of games and stream at the same time so I gotta stay fit

My current rig:

Q9650 3.0Ghz @ 4.27Ghz
4GB DDR2 1066Mhz
GTX 460 1GB (most likely will SLI) or buy a GTX 570 if I *NEED* to
Raid 0 2x Velocy 300GB
I think i'm doing ok.

My whole set up is three years old without any improvements and is in desperate need of an upgrade.

I am lacking about €600 to buy the new computer I'm imagining, that will take about 4-5 months.. However.. The game will supposedly launch "this year", but we're almost in the 8th month and there isn't that much of the year left, my conclusion, I'll probably not play the game very long with my old rig.

I spent roughly £1500 for planetside 2.It was a completely new build and that price covers everything from components to accessories.

I ended up building a new rig last week. It cost me around $1200 total and I only recycled my current monitor. I think I'm pretty happy with it and it should run PS2 just fine:

i5-3750K @ 4.2GHZ
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600
128GB Sandforce based SSD
ASRock Extreme4 Z77 Mobo

Just a note for those of you that are thinking about building a new rig... I really like the Extreme4 price per performance. If you don't need a lot of bells and whistles, it seems to be a fantastic board.

Well, considering I'm intending to drop about $1500 on a new rig, in part so I can play PS2...

Notwithstanding that, I'll opt for a monthly "premium subscription" or whatever, if they have the option.

Aside from this, it has also cost a chunk of my sanity via some of the threads around here...

I don't believe that you should include a new PC build into the cost of one game, its highly unlikely that you will use the new PC exclusively for one game or just for gaming. A new rig is an option that is totally up to yourself, if you are a true gamer and you have a rig older than 3-4 years you honestly should start playing sims online. Real gamers upgrade at least once per year to keep up to date with new technologies.

The game right now has cost all of us $0.00 and even when its released I imagine lots of people will never buy anything, but I expect to throw a lot of money at this game as its my hobby, like biking or fishing you spend money on your interests right?

I've put 50$ into SOE station cash already. 25$ for the triple cash day and 25$ for the double cash day, all planned to be spent on PS2.

So far zero, I was gonna buy some station cash but then I won a bunch in an outfit raffle. This won't last long, though, as it looks like my computer won't be up to the task of running Planetside 2, though still waiting for beta to see just how much it lags before I order anything.

Seeing as I built my current system in 2008 with such advanced components as a Core2Duo E8400 @3Ghz and a 8800GT I'm probably looking at 800ish $ for an i5, mobo, 560 Ti and PSU
I'm chalking this all up to Planetside 2 since before that I had no real incentive to upgrade
