Looking forward to many scrims in QW with you guys! As far as Huxley, I've heard the same things, but I'm still waiting for it. There was also a MMOFPS placed in a fantasy universe. I forgot the name of that, but the graphics there looked amazing.

Indeed. I was looking forward to some BF2 action, dunno what happened with that venture.

I know you're not talking about Roma Victor. I did see what looked to be an Everquest rip-off based on a link from Smedley's latest blog. I forget what it's called, but it was developed out of SOE's China branch I think. Started with an "S"...?

Not Roma Victor. Forgot the name of it. But the graphics on it were pretty sweet.

BF2 sort of fell off of my radar after a short bit. Enough for me to boycot every single EA game from now til eternity.

I've given up on EA too, I wish they would sell the license to the BattleTech games though, years ago I beta'ed a BettleTech MMO they were making, but it got dumped.

QW looks cool.

How does EA Games have the Battletech license? Mechwarrior = Battletech on the PC, and Microsoft owns that license. But a Mechwarrior MMO would be the fucking shit.

Re: Black Widow Company: TR/Emerald

I'll try to find the exact license they have, they have something battletech...

Edit: The Title of the game was "Battletech: 3025" It wasn't technically MMO, it was a universe of planets that were basically 16vs16 death match servers. And each empire battled over planets and could own or lose them.

well to follow this derail, yeh i had always thoght that would be a fantastic liscense to option for an MMO FPS, and was hoping that this was what PS could become. but alas, not in the cards. man this would be so cool and the possiblities would be endless.

I did a search for this Battletech MMO and came across people on forums stating they had actually played the beta-test version. They all said it was MMO, not 16/32-person servers.

I was in the beta back then too. It was MMO but the thing was in the battle it was the 16/32-person battles. It wasn't like you could be in a battle with 100 mechs running around.

Follow-up. I work for EA, you're absolutely right... this was something they had planned.

Mechwarrior is being rebooted now that the FASA/Battletech creator has the electronic rights back from M$.
