My problem isn't the lack of beta, it's the lack of PR-skills from Smedley and SOE.

I played SWTOR for months, global agenda for maybe a couple days. The difference between them and Planetside is they are theme parks and Planetside is a sandbox and we've got some pretty cool toys to play with in that sandbox.

Planetside is not an overly complicated game to get right. Give us a good assortment of vehicles, give us bases to storm, give us well balanced weapons and give us the tools to organize outfits and we'll make up the content on our own. Having played the original Planetside now for several months since quiting SWTOR, I may never go back to theme park MMOs.

Planetside 2 is a completely different animal than any MMO released in years.

no its not and ps never had a playerbase like swtor or other mmorpgs had .. lol

Who said anything about a major bug??? I was just quoting Smedly on saying they want to "polish" some things because they want the beta to be "awesome".

You asked me a question that has nothing do with the delay, but didn't answer any of my questions.

Again, why do they need a "POLISHED" beta in order to start it? It's a beta test, we know there will be bugs? The only thing I can think of... is they DO in fact want to have a somewhat glorified demo. I mean, they already are taking a few pages out of the mainstream modern gaming book.

Note: I have faith in the dev team. But question SOE's PR agenda at the moment. I'm just playing devil's advocate here.

There are more people from Europe than you think that are interested in this game. The game is free so there will be no problem having lots of people in the game.

Yeah, don't forget PS came out in 2003, it was one of the first subscription based fps on the market. Not to forget that the game was ahed of its time and you needed a very high end PC to play the game. The low speed internet connections at the time didn't help either. This game is F2P so the game doesn't need to worry about low pops.
