I forgot what it was.
OH YEAH. Hamma felt the multi-teared registration system (i.e. Alpha attendees -> CDL/SoV -> PSU -> Public) was too elitist (can you imagine? US, ELITIST?? ), so we decided to change it. Here's what we're going to do now: Day 1: PSU gets a change to register. Day 2: Everyone else gets a chance to register. You likey?

By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

You'll have to, sonny!!
We've got like, a drawing of what the weekend will look like. We have a list of hotels that we've selected from a big huge list of hotels, and Martyr and I will look more closely at them tomorrow then hopefully make a reservation. Oh yeah, if you didn't like the sharing-the-beds thing at PSUMA, don't come to Bravo. I think I'm going to make it a trademark of the Mobilizations! You get really close to other attendees. I like it. Tomorrow we'll also be talking more about the optional deployment idea, and decide if we're going to keep it or if we'll make it like Alpha where we all do the same things. We'll see.

I say we all stick together. It might be more and harder work for you and martyr to try to organize two groups doing two differnt things at once. Keep it simple.

The trouble though is pleasing 40 people. If I say, "day 2, we're all going to the zoo", I'll have 20 people mad. If I say, "Day 2, we're all going to paintball", I'd have the other 20 people pissed off.
The joys of being an Event Coordinator, eh.

Though, for me... Zoo or Paintball... that's a hard one. I love animals and I love paintball. But I'd galdly offer up my help with the paintball group anyway you might need.

Stop... If you can't "pwn" with a rental, you suck at paintball.

Triggar, there's lots of cool stuff to do in San Diego, I lived there for a few years back in the late 80's early 90's. San Diego has an excellent trolly system which runs throughout the entire city all the way down to the border of Mexico. It's an easy walk to Tijuania if those wishing to partake in spirits which might not be of legal age (in this country) can go to. There's also Coronado island, and alot to do in the area... atleast if memory serves.. The San Diego Zoo is quite fantastic, along with the normal touristy attractions...

What is Coronado Island? Tell me more about the Zoo - I personally am very interested in this as an option, but I want everyone else to be as well

The San Diego zoo is quite awesome, one of the best in America.
It would take hours to explain it... here's their link on the web http://www.sandiegozoo.org Remember I haven't been there in 13 years, but when my wife and I went it was awesome to say the least...

Some San Diego info..
Ok folks, I used to live in San Diego (San Dog as we used to call it..), back in 91' some things have changed, others stay the same. Here's some info.. on some of the things to do there... http://www.hoteldel.com/ A classic historic hotel, The Del was built in 1888 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977. Awesome hotel, very classy!!! Think of the eagles song, Hotel California... City of Coronado - http://www.coronado.ca.us/ Here's a link to the visitor center - http://www.coronadovisitorcenter.com/ On Coronado you can rent bicycles, and pedal almost everywhere, lots of mansions to see, awesome beaches. Coronado is linked to the city of San Diego by a big bridge.. I used to have to go over here every once and a while when my ship docked at the Navy base on Coronado.. sometimes the traffic can really suck here.. I happen to find a holiday inn/seaworld package... here's a link: holiday inn - seaworld http://www.himb.com/especials.php?OV=san_diego_vacation_$80 Don't forget about the San Diego mission, it was the first of 21 historic missions definately one to stop by take photos to show the folks back home (if your not paying for this by yourself) that you actually got a bit of class and took in some of the historic sites... see we're all not about partying all day long... Ahh there's also the San Diego zoo, which is quite awesome.. Old Town is fantastic, but I haven't been there in a loooong time... Can't forget about Legoland - For the kid inside Here's a link: http://www.lego.com/legoland/califor...sp?locale=2057 Old Town - awesome place... minutes from downtown San Diego Here's a link to a major attraction in old town: Bazaar del Mundo http://bazaardelmundo.com/home.html Cheers, Magen

Oh something else I forgot, usually the Navy base (32nd street Naval station) has a "visit ship" program. I can't remember if it's at the base or downtown San Diego these days, as there is a pier at the end of downtown S.D. for the ships to pull up to.
Essentially a ship is designated each week (or atleast was) which the general public can take a guided tour. It's quite cool if you've never been on a US Navy warship before... Wonder if TopGun (Miramar Naval Air station)has an tour spots anymore... humm...

Sobekus, it is not necessary that you fly. Get there however you want, assuming you've registered and paid for the event already
Magen, thanks so much for the info. I've got a browser full of links open right now; I'll have a look at everything you posted and take it into consideration when planning the final itinerary!
