Hmm...Seems like they have a lot of things that are not really needed at the moment coming out sooner than things that would keep the game going and to keep players interested coming out later.
Cont lock is obviously what the majority of the players want yet it's still so far away. That one item alone should of been out when the game came out of beta. Still, I enjoy the game as it is but i can see the appeal wearing on some players, especially those that have been here since launch. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. |

In sorry but they need to release hossin now not in a few months. Its generally OK no bug issues with any base so release it and then take a pass at it after amerish rather then the other way around. Just give us content.
As for the roadmap itself it like most things your told by games companies don't happen at all nine of them happen in the time frame theytell you it will nd you always always feel let down by them. So just read it as a large "to do" list that like most to do lists you find all the crap you can put off for a while then start with inane crap you font need to do and ignore the important stuff cause its a lot of hastle |

Basically, we just need to help debug the last of the PFB (Player-Funded Beta) so when Planetside 2 DOES officially launch on the Playstation 4, it can potentially make back enough of their $25,000,000 investment to justify more staff.
Planetside 1 was abandoned by now back in 2003, so at the very least it looks like development (even if it is a skeleton crew) will actually continue for what is an awesome game. As a PS1 vet that's close enough for me! |

1. DICE is bigger than the PS2 SOE team. 2. so you would rather have it rushed out, like buggyfield 4? im just happy we have months for things like the resource revamp and continent locking. |

So while DICE is bigger, it is SOE corporate's fault that a map can't make it out within a full development cycle. They promised a AAA experience. They have so far failed. The reason I am still here is because I believe in the concept that is Planetside and lie attached to the hope that they will eventually give us this experience. No one else is even trying. |

Intercontinental warfare should have been a release/live feature, it is the main fucking core mechanic, the whole point of this game. But i know, i know, dead horse and all that.

Okay, I am actually really happy you compiled this DB. I had wanted to check point to point after each month, and you saved me from having to do something like, write all this down
Here we go: We are at the last update of January. What do we have on our table.
This was done to the european servers, and in the latest notes a few extra things were added. Okay, completed as of this morning. Check.
And as you said...
Amerish is mostly on PTS. The infil update I was lead to believe, was one of those things that SOE was working on, Pre-omfg. The loadout questionnaire is one that I know was already on the test at one point a long while back.... That said, we have not SEEN what I consider the most difficult part of the Infil update: The Stalker cloak... at all. That is worrisome. Also, the mission system sounds like a rather massive undertaking... and likewise, we have seen NOTHING related to that, bar a quick shot of part of the UI in a video some time back. There aren't any major carry overs from January, so any delays are because of existing delays, not because of extra work carried over. And lets be honest... They are Not going to put out the death screen. That was universally panned. I would be surprised if that actually got updated to "in Progress" at all, at this point. If it does get pushed, it will just be a redesigned and prettified death screen, the kill cams are something I think would give your average PS2 player, fever dreams |

bleh, Still nothing interesting. Only that mission system thingie is a real change and I'm sceptical about it bringing much to the table.
if it gives missions that are low XP and do not support grinding XP quick, people will just ignore them. Like why teamwork if you only get peanuts for defending like say a generator when enemies aren't even inside the facility where most of the XP can be made outside the base walls. All the really meaty changes like Hossin or intercontinental warfare still seem to be a distant dream =( I wonder what's happened to Searhus, haven't heard anything about that in a year did they just delete the progress or what Last edited by Vashyo; 2014-01-31 at 04:23 AM. |

If I play, which I did a couple of times over Xmas, I had fun but, I got a hundred and something kills but it didn't satisfy and I feel no particular urge to re-login.
I am still interested of course because I know what could be but I have doubts whether 'those that decide' at SOE want to make a game that's anything other than a shooter. |

Okay moving into February, here is what we need to know.
There should be 4 February Updates: 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. As last week's update was a content update, this week's update (Should be the 5th or 6th) probably wont be a content update. We should probably expect to see content next week tied to Valentines day, and content on the final week (The 26th). As X-bows are part of the valentines stuff, -AND- flagged under the Infil update, I would say next week will likely be the infil update But, here is February as of now (the 3rd): February - Missions System Designed. No clue on this one, it's not in progress as of Friday, so I am betting it'll be late in the month. February - Amerish In progress/On PTS. I'm betting this will be the last thing this month, that we see. It's massive, it's not quite done, and we still haven't see the lattice on the PTS. Either going to be the 3rd or 4th update of the month. March - Physics Tuning In Progress. Moved to March. February - Infiltrator Update Internal Testing. I am betting this will be done next week, immediately prior to Valentines day. February - New Player Loadouts/Questionnaire In progress. This should be mostly done I would imagine, as it was already on the PTS at some point last year. February - VO Packs Designed. No clue, how long could it take to do this? I'm betting 3rd week. February - 64-bit client No word on status, but this one was added to February just recently, so I am taking that to mean it's Mostly done. The other objects are potpourri items: Tech update, the potpourri section, Camo bundles, AMS changes (In the deploy screen when you log in, instead of being at a WG), etc. that will probably fill out this and the 3rd update of this month. |

oh, 64 bit allready this month, I was expecting atleast 3 more months, since everything seems to take about 3 times as much time to do after original launchdate.

Okay then, we had another update on stuff. I am not going to deal with march stuff until later in the month, but as of now here we go:
But, here is February as of now (the 10th): February - Missions System In Progress. Well it is out of the design stage, and we have a few of the Types of missions released on the page. February - Amerish On PTS. Well it's now 100% on PTS. This could go next week, I am betting it wont go this week... though it -is- possible, I concede that, I'm just thinking they probably want to do a test weekend or something dedicated to it beforehand. February - Infiltrator Update On PTS. Yep, this is pretty much ready for valentines day, with novelty X-bows and everything. February - New Player Loadouts/Questionnaire In progress. Nothing changed, it's still in progress. February - VO Packs In progress. Well it's in the works, I doubt we will get much information on this one, not a lot to say unless they hired someone big name. February - 64-bit client This still frustratingly enough has no progress or information at all. February - Death Screen In progress. Since it removed the kill cam, it's vote hasn't been so far in the negative. Nothing on PTS yet, so I guess we will have to wait. That said, if it hasn't been taken out of the lineup by now, it'll probably be in this month.
