Scalia stopping the recount and invalidating it doesn't throw up a red flag for you? A Florida mogul bragging that he helped get Bush elected in means that "may not have been legal" doesn't also seem a bit fishy? What more do you need really? Besides, Gore won the popular vote, so you can't say the will of the people wasn't with him.
Regardless of whether you agree with Obama or not, you can't argue that he isn't just as, if not more legitimately president than Bush. Its kinda ridiculous the people that defended Bush's election then need to see a guy's birth certificate 20 billion times. This is getting OT, if you make a thread in the appropriate section I'll gladly discuss politics with you, but for now we should be taking about Steam. Anyway....do you think they'll be steam achievements? If so, what will they be? I hope that there are faction-based achieves for taking X amount of bases from each army, or playing X hours as a faction. Something more creative than "get 1000 kills". People seem to be assuming a lot with this unless there's some info I missed. He said it would be on Steam and nothing more. We have no idea if that just means you can get the launcher from Steam and that's it or if it will have any steam integration in part or as a whole. Going through this thread, most people are assuming its going to be fully steam integrated with not much info to even point in that direction. Until there's more info there is no point in bitching about steam or vac or whatever.

I'd assume Planetside 2 would be the same as the other games on the platform; having the overlay available, as well as everything else such as screenshots, play time and a section on the Steam Forums. Of course, nothing is for certain, but when a game will be "available on steam," I'd expect it to have the steamcommunity features available that we take for granted on every other game. For a comparison, Blacklight: Retribution is available on as well as off of steam. When you use the steam version you get the overlay as well as achievements. Off of steam, it's just the plain old game. One thing I did notice is that the game isn't tied to steam's DRM, meaning you can launch the .exe outside of steam. I'd assume Planetside 2 would be similar, as it is also an f2p game, but I have no idea if PS2 will have integrated achievements. I love them though, so I hope so.
