There are already a few things I see that need to be changed in my opinion... The lock on time frame takes a bit long... I mean you don't want it to be super fast, but you need to be able to get it on before the person fly's off.... but that's just one example.

Ok, following the rules and hoping this gets an answer:
My original PS1 account from 2003 got hacked sometime in mid 2007~2008. When I heard PS2 was in production I went to login and found the problem - late last year. SOE Customer Support could not (or would not) help me clear my old account (it was branded a hacker). I created a new account, purchased a new copy of PS1 online, and have been subbing ever since (09/2011). I also purchased a PC Gamer with the beta key. My question is: Should I use the PC Gamer Beta Key or not? I'm already signed up for the Beta through the PS2 website, and my SOE account info shows "Planetside 2", but where other games say "inactive", Planetside 2 and a couple others have no button. And, before anybody points out the obvious, I have to date paid around $200 for the chance to get into the beta early. I have been playing PS1 sporadicly since I resubbed, but the purpose of subbing was to get into PS2 beta. My hope is that I can hold on to the Beta key and not use it, and instead give it to a friend. |

If I were you Degen, I would make another account to use the PC gamer key on. Maybe you know someone that would like to participate in Beta. You could give them the key, or when beta starts and the PC Gamer key account gets a invite, give them the login info.
This is similar to what i'm going with my second, non-vet account that has a PC Gamer key associated with it. Plan to let my father do some testing if it gets in. I wouldn't use it on your PS1 account. Cheers, GG |

Thanks Griz.
I was just reading back through the thread and it looks like I'm ok with my resubbed account. I see what you're saying about making a second account for the PCG Beta, but don't you need an e-mail address for that? I'm thinking I'll just give my buddy the key and let him set it up himself and go all-in on my "vet" account. It's almost a year old now, that should count for something. Thanks again! |

Here is a tweet this morning on vets getting into Beta, although I am still not sure what "Actively run by SOE" means?
Nott: @planetside2 how long do you need to play PS1 to be considered vet? PlanetSide 2: @xhbcstmku As long as you played PS1 when it was actively run by SOE. [BKB] 8:58 AM - 12 Jun 12 via |

That is not what i saw.
I read that Vets, Twitter keys and PC Gamer keys are all 'Priority leys' and all have an equal chance. I don't suppose you have a quote for that? This really is classic SoE. I wish they'd just release four sentences telling us what is going down. There is all this misinformation around, most of it has come from fragmented dev tweets.
