The way everything was worded... sounds more like they're postponing to implement a feature, more so than because the tech tests are doing poorly. We don't even know if they're open anymore, or at least all that often.

Certainly, the current testers aren't doing any hardcore bug hunting or testing, you can count on that. They weren't picked out for the college level writing skills and knowledge of software/hardware. Though if SOE is keeping the tech servers open more often than not, I'm calling BS on them not inviting more people. Really, I don't think a lot of us really care if we'll be playing a buggy, unstable client right now.

However, whatever they're getting ready for us on friday or monday, they make it sound like something we'll really appreciate. It almost sounds like they really want the closed beta to be a free preview with balancing being the only real concern. I just hope they get the beta invites out quickly, almost daily like they did with tech test invites. It's really going to grate on people's nerves if they miss a wave, and have to wait a lengthy period of time.

im almost 100% sure that they are getting shitstormed on twitter.. so not much to answer for them today

Wouldn't surprise me. Though I can't blame the employees at SOE at all, like Smedley has said, "the crew has been pulling crazy hours", and I really do believe they have.

Going through the tech test smoothly and killing waves of bugs I imagine must be stressful. Just look at the VIP tracker here at PSU.. It used to be really active with 10 posts a day from different developers, right now we're lucky if we get 3-4. That was all before the tech test started.

There's been subtile hints I guess but I'd just like to thank the team for their amazing dedication!

I think the point he was trying to make was that it wouldn't kill SOE to throw out a few more invites for the hell of it.

Though that wouldn't be doing the community at large any favors, really >.> Fuel for the fire.
