QFT. Personally, I can fault them for not making an alternative available (google+ wouldn't be acceptable to me either, personally, and "spam 50 people and get them to sign up" is horrible and anyone using it as the basis of their marketing efforts needs to be smacked on the back of their head.

Naturally, I can't see any of what the facebook app allows you to do, or wants you to do for marketing purposes or for "rewards," although someone mentioned registering character names. If that IS the only way to register character names pre-beta, that is a serious problem IMHO.

As a side note, I don't use google+ either. I tried it for a month or two, and found it mostly useless (I almost never used it). I reverted my account back to regular google when Google started banning google accounts for not using their real names on google+. I see no reason to start using Google+ again, or to start using Facebook, and this marketing campaign does nothing to change that (it only annoys me further).

There is a checkbox under the new post box that lets you disable auto embed.

I thought I'd give people an update from FirstPost Studios. Currently they are repro'ing the sharing problem to try and identify what's going on, though it looks to be a privacy/permissions concern with Google (i.e. the company will let ordinary people share material hosted by them, but not via a Facebook app)...

As it stands there is yet to be a workaround for this issue, so unless we hear some good news, they might have to remove those missions and come up with some alternative ideas to support ingame incentives.

Well unless you complete all the regular mission (which you can't right now cuz of the sharing issue), it's likely you won't know what the secret missions actually are until you can.

huh, i managed to finish everything except "Major", "Lieutenant Colonel", "Colonel", and "General", excluding those, I am just waiting on the secret missions so I can pop these rewards!

How do people find recruits for the facebook app? I don't think I have enough people who would accept an invite to get the 20 recruits

Make fake friends or just dont get it.

It really is the only gripe I have. If the mission was invite everyone in your friends list I would be fine. I dont have enough people interested in PS2 or videogames in general to ever ACCEPT the invite and I have no control over it.

Okay, maybe someone who has been playing with the app longer can answer a few questions:

If someone is already using the app can they join your outfit too?

If someone chooses a different empire, can they be in your outfit (i.e. I recruit my friend but they like the TR symbol better and choose that instead of my side, the NC)?

1. No, they can not they will only show up on the leaderboards.

2. Yes, they can and will be placed in your outfit, even if they don't choose an Empire.
