am i considered a vet if i sub into a SOE all access 6 days go? but i put in a twitter key before this, did i screw myself over?

Well, atleast for me its already 7:39 PM. I want to start downloading atleast so i can play TOMORROW.

Actually. Im just checking to see if im considered a vet. So i know if i should spend my one day off (work the next 8) waiting. If i need to wait i will gladly do so, but if im not getting in today i have things i would rather be doing.

Wait 20 minutes for chat or wait all day for something that may or may not happen. When you work two jobs, one full time one part time you tend to not want to waste your days off.

I don't consider myself to be jumping the gun, being irrational or being rude. I am being very polite to support. I just don't like uncertainty.

When you're from Europe (that's middle european time) do not expect to be able to launch the game today - the download servers are not the final ones yet and will probably be at their maximum capacity very soon. It might take a while to finish the download. I also hope it does not turn out that way, but the past has shown otherwise on every single occasion.

But I do have access to the free PS1 time they gave to vets.

No e-mail, and going to the download link just gives me the "You're already signed up for beta!" message. /sadpanda

Son of a .......! dammit. Apparently my account never had a paid sub linked to it, despite it being set up in 2005! I dont believe it.

No idea what account was used in that case.....

just got out of a chat with a pretty awesome SOE rep... at first he was confused seeing my key i had added from PCgamer .. but after i pointed out i have had the account since 2009 and even reactivated to scratch my PS1 itch on the 13th.. that at the VERY LEAST i am a vet as of 13th.. and according to Smedley on twitter.. that the cutoff was led to be today for "Vet status" (the 20th)

he looked again and said that some vets are still in the process of receiving access... but he doesnt know when and to keep an eye on my email

I asked if i do indeed qualify according to my account status

he said yes i do and should receive and email at some point today

... are they just trying to get another monkey off their back? or was he being truthful.. only time will tell... but he was pretty cool about it and took the time to look into it so i cant rage one bit

anyway.. maybe it gives you other vets .. old and new... some hope on gaining access today
