SOE can bring in as many people as they want. Sure, they'll have quotas to fill, but "10 techies = 10 less vets" I imagine to be for the most part wrong. If they're going to invite people, they'll want to fill entire servers. Our tech test might end with the server(s) completely full or near full, and I fully expect SOE will be opening up brand new servers once closed beta takes off.
Note: When I say server, I really mean continent(s.) They could replicate Indar 30 times over in a single server if they really wanted to. |

I wonder if Planetside 2 will actually manage to use that much CPU.. Given, very different kind of games, but I've yet to find a game that would've used 100% of my CPU that is a hexcore sitting at 3,5ghz at the moment. I've read it can go 4ghz with a default cooler if overclocked, but I have no point in doing that if nothing uses that much CPU
That said, I don't play with maxed graphics cos my GPU bottlenecks me, although I'm not sure if increasing graphical settings has much effect on CPU load (not very tech sawwy myself). But at least its nice to know I should have another 500mhz in "reserve" without having to buy a better cooler if it's required.
