This is very true and you are probably right, i'd still rather have a cool ribbon on my uniform then to say I got to play the game a day early

You cant judge population by forums. Most ppl are lurkers, never posting anything, and checking once every week/month. Very small percentage actealy post omething, and that for released game. Posting in pre-beta stage of game have no significance on number of ppl in beta. There are tons of ppl watching progress but not here or official forums, but on they outfit forums filtered only to important stuff.

Well congratulations! I hear they give it away automatic time-in-grade/time-in-service, is that correct? "Back in my day" we had to earn it (although successful completion of Ranger school was basically max-points).
