As much as we make fun of the TeamSpeak entertainment we sometimes get, during operations we take our communications channels seriously. We frequently run multiple squads where each squad is in their own channel to help free the channel for important communications. In those cases our squad leaders set up channel commander and whisper to each other in order to coordinate and relay information between the two squads when appropriate.
The time that this approach really helps is when we run ULTRA operations, which in PS1 could be in excess of 100 people across many outfits. In that case channel commander allowed the operation leader to instantly send VoIP communications to all the platoon/squad leaders immediately and let the representatives for each of the outfits also communicate via VoIP. I had the privilege to lead one such operation, and it was really cool to queue the mic, give the move-out command, and watch Esamir get insta-poplocked as we invaded an empty continent and proceeded to take half of it before the VS reacted with a force capable of creating some real resistance.... Good time are to be found in BWC, both tactically/strategically and just plain fun/silliness. If you are considering joining, you should. Your outfit has just fought off the enemy... You've taken the Gens and respawn down... One squad is hunting cloakers, one squad starts fortifying the base, and one squads headed to the CC... The hack is on...! Friendlys abound, enemies are none... 2:00mins left til the base goes blue... Then, a phrase is uttered that sends shivers down your spine and makes soldiers shoot each other when they go through doorways or round corners.... "GAL DROP"

And don't get any impressions that we don't wake up in the mornings without needing to shove a rod up our asses; We are, at heart, a well oiled military machine of battlefield dominance...but that doesn't mean we don't know how to have fun.
At the safe end of the spectrum we will have regular "relaxed comms" nights so we can shoot both the enemy and the breeze, and at the more interesting side of the spectrum we'll have themed or challenge oriented operations which forgo our usual tactics and instead opt for something more interesting...Like nights where we roll out in 6 fully manned liberators, or where we'd attempt to drain, hack and hold bases from way behind enemy lines just for shits and giggles.
