but he doesn't have nearly the experience he should. This begs the question: Which internet persona, if any, should lead which factions? |

Other than the silly video I saw the day they announced this, I've seen no other evidence of anything going on...
I haven't looked for any... and I play on Mattherson - but, uh.. yeah... I guess that's all I have to say about this. |

I've never heard of two of them and have no interest in whatever it is they are doing.
Guaranteed they wont be appearing on my server any way and imo thats probably a good thing. You should see the kiddies get all giggly and excited when GrinCatBriggs use to appear....small things, small minds etc. |

I was about to say just this. TB is the only one who even has half of an idea of what to do. Maybe he has 3/4ths to a hole. Still, the other two are absolute ... well, "derpheads" and I really have no idea what they have to do with PS2.

Heh, I knew TotalBiscuit back when he was just another DJ on PSR - PlanetSide Radio, which I did scripting and code work for. We even had a SOE dev on DJ, but nobody was supposed to know about that.
I guess TB was pretty popular as a DJ, though we were excited to get more than a couple dozen listeners back in that day. I heard he went on to do DJing for WoW Radio after PSR shut down and somehow he grew into a gaming celebrity. Now I think the whole thing is kind of dumb. They're working hard to attract players to a game with some very broken core mechanics that's really hurting the long-term playability of the title. I really hope they work towards solving that problem quickly or they're just going to lose the players they've pulled in with this event. |

I dont see it hurting anything.
Total Biscuit had totally distorted the population on Waterson long before this event. And even so we survive their numbers.

You know a lot of the community put so much hard work into making Planetside 2 much bigger than it was going to be. And SOE trashed it. Fact is the community never think like the internet stars.
I personally am sick of seeing TB's face all over Planetside 2, it makes me want to throw up. Planetside 2 should not of had a face, but only outfit names and player names, the things that make the game tick. |

I think putting a face to the leaders isn't good. Attaching an identity with all of it's (potential) baggage is even worse.
That being said, I haven't been paying any attention to the whole thing except for seeing the three pictures in my load screen as PS2 patches. That's about the level of exposure to this event that I've had. Maybe I'll see what they are actually trying to do here, though I'm not likely to spend much time seeking out that information. Probably will spend more time writing this post than that. |
