You will lose grief logged out. I sometimes go days between sessions. Each time, 0 grief when I log in. You only need to be logged in if you have weapons lock. That requires ingame time to remove it.

So many misconceptions. If you're going to state something as a fact you sure as hell better know it's a fact before you say it's one.
Greif dissipates at a rate of one greif point every five minutes. This is a constant. Weather you are logged in, logged out, incurring greif or sitting idle, it is always dissipating at one greif point every five minutes. Incuring greif over multiple instances in a short period of time increases the amount of greif recieved per instance, but greif still goes away at the same rate of one greif point every five minutes. I already knew this to be a fact however, to thwart any one attempting to say otherwise, I have tested and verified this fact as of 3/28. If you wish to verify it as well, test it yourself.

There are grief levels as well as grief points. These levels determain how fast you lose it and what happens to you. Grief level 0 is between 0-10 grief and it goes up from there, I don't know exacts since I rarely go into those ranges. If you have 0-10 it goes down far faster. If you have around 700-1000 it goes at a crawl. This is what I have observed over my time playing PS.
