Down with the Shields!

That is a bad joke isn't it...

I still think they all look good. Make it an animation.. 8p What shield was on it before?

I love the look of those. Don't settle for one TRay! Make one for each empire

Top middle = VS
Bottom Middle = TR
Top left = NC

The decision has been made, and it...looks...gooooooooooooood

Not ready for all to see just yet, but it definitely is a pretty sight.

So you mean each biolab isn't different?

I hope they've gone with the energy shield one and that the biolab's dome can be deactivated from inside the shield by an attacking force. Aside from that it's really cool to see regardless.

I love um. The top 6 look like they could transform into the bottom 3, like when the base is being hacked the dome opens up or something like that.

What would be really cool (if the bases turn out to be big enough) is if the domes were actually small biospheres that reflected the continent they were on, which would result in smaller infantry battles that were "outdoors" but not really. And all the pilots would just have to hover outside and watch, all Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome like. 2 Empires Enter 1 Empire leave!!!! Or something like that....

Or if each biodome on a continent reflected the landscape of the other two continents.

Edit - Or, each environment within was synthetically created by nanites and the internal environment would rotate between several possible layouts on some sort of timer.

They all look pretty sweet, make them all!

Failing that whichever one you've picked is therefore great.

First thing that came to mind when I saw this base. Childhood dreams coming true here guys! *wonders if stainless steel sink stoppers and refrigerator boxes also made it into the game*

Middle-top and center (an air of steampunk) look best to me, but then it's hardly surprising that the translucent ones look better than the plain ones.

Bio-lab domes?

We all know (now that we know what they will look like) that they will henceforth be called, "Bio-domes"!

I hope its not the second one. To damn generic imo. I'd like to see a little darkness introduced like first one.
