Well the truth is, at least in the UK, a lot of butch guys with pretty girlfriends wear pink. It's a statement, like "You wanna question my masculinity? I can wear whatever I damn please."

Purple however still has persistent homosexual connotations.

Blue and yellow seems virginal somehow.

Black and red are masculine colours.
