It's not how long a grind is that turns me off...its how fun it is doing it...if Im having nonstop adventure and it isnt just the same thing over and over and over and still more yet to come (AO)...then its fine.

As for WoW, the rep grind is far shorter now...I get Honored questing long before I even leave the noob area (ie Durotar/Elwynn/etc)

Yea just the fact that if you want to be at the top of your game you have to have absolutly no life and run instances all the time.

Sounds like a blast to me.

I'm proud to say that I played WoW for a year and a half and NEVER got a character past 45. I'm so casual the game couldn't handle it. (Maybe not quite that casual, but overall I never played a prolonged session for any one character.) The only serious grinding I ever did was for my mount, and that consisted of fishing for those transforming fish, and selling them at ridiculous prices on the AH.

Looks a lil too much like WoW, graphic wise and gameplay wise so i think Ill pass, WoW never appealed to me and if anything I always thought it was a joke of a game but eh

And compared to other games? There are mmo's where you can be at the top of your game and not grind?

The graphics on lotr are nothing like wow :o

WoW's popularity is its curse in my opinion.

It's graphics are to cartoony for my tastes

I wish I had the year of my life I wasted in that game back

Yeah Im not a fan of the cartoon look whatso ever, Maybe I didnt look close enough but LotR looked a bit like it too but maybe Im wrong, I hope so. I LOVEEEEE LotR and own about 15 different books about it so If this game was a big sucess then Id be thrilled.
