I think that is someone else looking at a guy using a mana turret.

That someone doesn't have a gun nor HUD? I think it's 3rd person.

The devs will have a free-movement camera system that lets them move to any position which comes in handy for screenshots like this. It is what they've used to take all the other 'action' screenshots.

Reminds me a little of Global Agenda, engineer class in that game could drop these small shield walls and set up turrets behind them, however they could only absorb a set amount of damage before disappearing.

now this is great news! shields for the mana turrets are a good adittion.

will engineers be able to pump up the shield? maybe it shrinks when it looses hitpoints, and a fully pumped shield will even cover up the head of the gunner?

I was about to post that, and i noticed the worst part, no protection for the head. NO!!!! Now i can be sniped spam from everything...

And did anyone notice the nice laser sight on the gun? Too bad it looks like its off centre. Oh well, laser sights for the win!!

I'm actually kind of interested to see if we get multiple different shield configurations to spec into that will have different tradeoffs.

Say, one protects the turret much more thoroughly, but leaves the head exposed (as in Hamma's tweeted shot), another leaves the turret vulnerable to destruction but does a better job of protecting the head (as in the original post for this thread), and perhaps a third might protect the flanks better at some other expense...
