What could that rectangle-ish display in the middle be?
Also it doesn't seem to conform very much to the outside shape of the canopy, but that could just be the perspective

As for being able to look around the cockpit. They could probably set up a key you could hold down that would allow you to move your head around but still fly in a straight line. Maybe like the alt key or your middle mouse button.

I think it looks great, and bonus points for the coloured mini-map.
The aircraft HUD should be projected onto the canopy, and the airspeed and altimeter bars should roll with the aircraft though, no? The entire HUD following the movements of the atitude indicator / horizon is... odd. |
