It's a bit large and the way the background image has poor contrast with the selector at the bottom since the list of stories is overlayed. To help the selector show up at the bottom I'm suggestion dimming the image so its' a little darker and it draws out the selector.

I think the size could be reduced to about 2/3 what it is now. Ideally on my screen like in the image I should see the VIP posts and at least the first news article fully on one screen without having to scroll.

I think if you moved the selector list from the bottom of that area to the right side and stacked them one on top of the other it would increase readability and allow you to shrink the overall size of the space while giving a decent size for the story images.

PSU 4.0 looks great!

The only thing I found so far is:

When I click "Forum" or "Social" they both bring you to the forums. This seems a bit redundant unless it will be changed in the near future to something else

Are there any plans to let users change colours of the site to their own preference/empire theme, or is there a way to do this I don't know about yet? =]

The frontpage image reel is way too big. The logo text needs to change and look a bit more futuristic.
Also make the navigation link bar at the top smaller (you can keep the same text size).

I also think the gradient background should be a different color from the rest of the interface, should be a very dark bluish color or dark gray.

1) New Topics/Posts icons on the main forum index are hard to decipher. May want to make it blatantly obvious... like red PSU icon for new posts. Something that really stands out, at least.

2) Outfit database isn't on front page. At least not that I could see, and I trolled the links and their subcategories. HOW WILL WE EVER MEASURE OUR E-PEENS BY BUMPING OUR OUTFITS TO NUMBER ONE THIRTY TIMES A DAY?!

3) Overall, looks pretty nice. Great job, even if it's Vanu Teal.

It's very far from Vanu teal. More like Br1 NC Rexo...
