No, I believe he is asking our opinion on the new cycler design.

As far as my opinion goes, I think the guy from Poland is on to something. The gun is very M14 like, and I think something along the line of a modern assault rifle, or even prototypes being discussed these days; could be used to design the Cycler.

The old cyler, when I first saw it, I thought it was a shotgun with a drum barrel!

Here's a little gift for your trouble and giving us even more to look forward to.

As for the discussion that ensued, I think the current Cycler design suits the Terran Republic.
It's long and sleek, like an old battle rifle, and that fits the image of the TR as kind of like the Soviet army. Matt Higby used "strength in numbers" to describe them during the Fan Fair, which fits the bill in my opinion.
We should leave the modern, phat ACR/SCAR-like design to the NC and the shiny water guns to the VS.

My point was to suggest adapting modern design ideas into its model (or, rather, the default model

).

My only concern about the cycler is where is my 75 round drum magazine going to fit?* The design seems to cover to magazine housing.

I'm afraid we're all out of 75-round drum magazines. Will a 100-round double drum magazine, compatible with regular magazine housings, suffice?

Also:

I also remember seeing a 180-degree magazine for the RPK (the gun itself is shown on the picture above). The magazine was so huge and heavy, it had a hook that you would have attached to the barrel.

i love this picture , judging by that photo it looks like the clip is along the barrel with a hindge esc thing holding it there. Which in my mind seems like a better design for the Gauss Rifle.

What id like to see in terms of a cycler is something close to a hellgun from the Imperial Guard but use bullets instead. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki...gunkasrkin.jpg
