The verdict total was $1,000,000 for a medical malpractice lawsuit, $700k for her medical care, $300k for the husband for loss of companionship. From what I understand, the entire 700k has been used up for her care, and most of the 300k as well. I'm not certain - I'll have to look up the some of the court procedings to be sure, but I've seen those figures a couple of times in the news. Where did you hear that he would get an insurance settlement for her death? Or did you actually mean the original payment from the medical malpractice?
