I more or less agree with Ctrl+Alt+Del's view:

The game was visually ugly. In their attempt at acheiving "next generation, CGI quality graphics", they gave everything that "plastic look", with horrible textures, and then wrapped it all around some of the clunkiest, most unnatural animations I've seen. And then they threw in a horrible polygon draw system for good measure.

The quest system may be wonderful, there may be top notch trade skills, but I'm not going to spend hundreds of hours staring at an ugly piece of junk just to experience it.

Everyone knows that I was not (am not) a real RPG player. But WoW makes it fun, I've been having a great time gaming with my team in WoW, every day is fun and the questing never gets old. I am not surprised about the launch really, I was in line at 12am on that Tuesday and there were about 40 other people there.. hell they only let us buy one copy each.

Overall considering the influx, the server issues have been fairly minimal. Other than the few servers that were pounded into the ground on day one and had to be shutdown for a few days, things have been fairly smooth.

Come on in trig, play with me and Jenny on Laughing Skull

I haven't purchused WoW yet. On the sole purpose of not wanting to lose my social life. Although I don't think I can hold out much longer.

Same here, except, I don't have a social life. I may just stop going to work.

MrVic you forget that EQ is the biggest MMO. Its not that Wow is easier to play, someone looking at a box at best buy cant tell. Its essentially that hype and the fact that WoW is a fundamently better game according to reviews.

Comparing WoW and EQ2 is like asking people whether they like hamburgers or hotdogs better. Everybodies going to have a different opinion, which they will back up with opinions dressed up as fact. The debate, however, is pointless, as everyone knows that the taco rules all.
