It's in the super-rumor section, not even in the preview or new stuff section.
Actually I welcome a CD add-on, instead of a 20+ hour DL...

I just checked my GI and that's all it says. It�s just a few lines in some random section of the magazine. There's no mention of it in the review of planetside in their previous issue.

I put this one with the same credibility as the National Enquier, Word of Mouth, and "leaked" reports until I get a scan Valcron. Even then considering it's a 3 sentance RUMOR, it still won't really make me a believer of this pitchfork and fire "BURN TEH DEV!" army you seem to have riled up at the official fourms. Come on it's a fricking rumor! Considering how webster defines rumor I'm taking anything regarding this with a pound of salt.

Now, I could be entirely confused, but didn't Spork confirm that an expansion is in the works right now? I know no one has said anything about platoons or what would be in it officially. I'm tired.

Man that's tempting to believe...new vehicles (Lodestar), weapons (no clue), new maps (no clue), and new features (platoons and more). But it seems waaaaaaaay too good to believe.

Now if it said it had cruisers... I woulda shot a load in mah shorts

how are they gunna include new maps? new world some *insert your faction's name here* scientist "discovered"? or, are they just gunna say

"Oh, wow! we found an island in the middle of the ocean thats bigger than cyssor, but we couldnt see before!"

Not a clue man. Pretty funny tho. Or who says it has to be on Auraxis...or for that matter who says it has to be on Auraxis?

Thing with my ideas is that if it was caused by a Volcanic eruption, to be able to create a continent in this timeframe, it would have to be so violent it would Not only Obliterate half the world, it would blanket the planet in a cloud of dust, much like the nuclear winter scenario. And if it was plate movement, then something like that would probably be followed by accelerated crust deconstruction, and would basically eat away all the crust untill Auraxis was just a big ball of lava...which would eventually turn into a new crust and restart the cycle over billions of years, but it would definetely kill everything on the surface during its cataclysmic metamorphosis.

Any SOE gamer should know this WILL happen. We all know this is coming. SOE always does this. They put out minor upgrades and fixes for free, and then they take the most wanted items from players and sell them in expansion packs.

Do you really think they don't see the same problems with the game as we do? Sure they do! They play the game.

They know things like platoons and better outfit support are greatly desired. Those things are well know as wants, so they take the best of our desires and put them in expansions. This is how expansions milk us for money.

Have you all forgotten EQ's model already?! This is Marketing 101 for the gaming business folks. Expect expansions. Expect things in expansions that make you think, "Gawd, that rocks! I have to go buy it now! Wooo hooo, SOE ROXORS!!! <cheer>"
