Magrider: Lawnmower, Meatgrinder, Purple People Eater

Pounder MAX: Oh shit!
I have also heard the Magrider called a MagMower. Kind of a hybrid of the Magrider and Lawnmower names.

Yeah, a "Zerg Rush" or "Zerging" is basically when 100+ people just move around in large groups, swarming bases in shear numbers rather then through tactics. Sometimes, continents can be locked and you'll find every possible person your empire can fit just swarming one base. Some of the larger outfits out there tend to move around in this fashion... you know which ones. They have 200-1000 members.

For those who never played Starcraft, the Zerg were one of three races you got to chose. Unlike the others, the Zerg units were cheap and sometimes constructed two at a time, allowing you to overwhelm your opponent in shear numbers rather then through using unique units.
You saying that the outfits with 200+ members are Zerg? Not quite my friend. My outfit has about 200 members but there's only about 25 or so on-line at the most. Now I know of a Vanu outift with 1000 member's. Damn.

Well, it's all very relative... I'm refering more towards outfits that actually have 150+ people online and moving together. As outfits go, some are full with people who play 8 hours a day, while others have plenty who can only squeeze in a couple of hours a day. It's a general, blanket statement and obviously I'm not going to list every exception.

Still, various outfits earn a reputation as being part of the Zerg. On Johari, when we're losing a fight, we sometimes joke and say "Somebody contact Phoenix Legion and tell them to bring the Zerg!" That's not to say they're a mindless group of drooling people controlled by a hive mind... many of them are actually very likable guys.

Zerg battles are more fun when they're roughly evenly matched... but it's a shame you don't see much armor on the battle field. AV, as well as sheer numbers of other weapons, tend to chew right through 'em and most people aren't willing to drive all the way back over. Then again, you also get those 56kers that lag their way across the battle field and magically kill ya. 56k Reaver pilots... now that's everyone's worst nightmare. They stand still enough to fire off their salvo, and then lag through the skies and you can't hit them with anything.

I too must concede. It wouldn't suprise me if BA was the most organized and unified of all the outfits on all servers. Hardly zerging.
