It does...but its crap compared to the pounder of the marauder and the firebird of the enforcer. Low damage, low clip size, and low projectile speed.

Hmm....even with the change in the lasher I still think that the different factions are good for certain things but not for others.

Vanu - Great for assaulting cuz of their max's jumpjets but they do have the weakest max's power wise. Now with the lasher I think that they can definently hold their own indoors, but it is still sorta sucky outdoors. The lancer is just ok for anti vehicle, definently travels the fastest of the AV weapons and can double as a sniper rifle. As a pilot I'd say the vanu have the middle of the road AA max, those orbs don't travel too fast, and it can be used to some extent on non aircraft (infantry and vehicles). The magmower is definently the best vehicle in game for mowing infantry down, driver has that rail gun, plus a gunner up top PLUS 20 foot wide bumpers.

NC - Middle of the road max's. Their AA max is definently the top dog in AA action, will own aircraft, but it sucks against everything else so you just don't see it that much. Their max's can't deal out the death like the TR max's but aren't canon fodder like the vanu max's. The Jackhammer still will own your ass up close, but in the open they are not very good. I think the AV for the NC is the weirdest one, can be used as a long rang sniper rifle, for indirect fire, but is only really good against vehicles that are really slow moving, or not paying attention. The vanguard definently is the biggest boom, good manueverability and has good survivability.

TR - Their max's own on defense, a bolted down pounder can hold off 20 infantry, especially indoors, and ESPECIALLY if it has a engineer repairing it. For ambush the TR AA max rules, often times a aircraft will be hovering and not even realize its being hit up to right before its dead. The MCG is a good all-around gun for HA, it doesn't deal out the most damage, and isn't the best up close but its hard to avoid (unlike the lasher) and is good farther away (unlike the JH). The prowler is a good tank, can take on more targets with its two gunner than any other tank, and has more armor than other tanks, but I think it is slower than the other two tanks as well. IMHO the shining star of the TR is the striker, when I tried out the different factions, as a pilot of course, I found that the Vanu were a slight annoyance with their AA max but had nothing else, the NC would own your ass with their max, but had very little else, but the TR OMG you fly over a TR base with a lot of enemy there, like 20 strikers will lock onto you, it is like suicide!

For my game play style, as a pilot, I like the TR the best, if you want a good balance between mobility and power, pick the NC, and of course if you want to be a noob, err gay, err I mean fly like a ferry uh yea, pick VS and their ferry dust Max's.
