My medics are riflemen. I think 2 medics per squad is desirable to keep your troops alive, and more importantly to revive the fallen.
Edit: I was leaning heavily on the maxes to handle AT. Also, I'm pretty sure you can carry two rifles in the regular armor. so that gives my riflemen AT capabilities

[DsV] already has around 150 people.
Galaxies autoland if noone is in the drivers seat balab, but the cannons on that sucker are viscous and it could probly make decent emergency air cover (like a blackhawk), its not built for it but it can do it. And nothing says you can't go into combat with another platoon, two or three months into the game your not going to care about BEP since your probly maxed out anyway, you will just want that extra rifle on your side. edit: bah, most people treat them like they aren't even able to carry a gun
