The NC and TR both make sense fighting eachother. one is the oppressive ruler (face it, black and red? thats not really the color of peace), and the freedom fighters. TR vs. NC seems very traditional and seems to fit.

When I think of TR, I think its kind of like a mix between Demolition Man and the Starship Troopers movie.

Well, I disagree. The New Conglomerate is Planetside's Al Queda and the Vanu Sovereignty is that cult that ate the poison applesauce while wearing Nike shoes awhile back. Weren't they expecting to be beamed aboard the "Alien Mothership" traveling near Haley's Comet or something? Anyway, depending on what side you're on, the story is different. That's one of the many things I like about this game.
