Well, the multiplier system might explain a lot actually.
As for the grenades and Thumper. I find this weapon extremely good and usefull. Especially with Plasma 'Nades. But answer me this; if you are in a tower, rushing towards the spawn room and come across a grenadier lobing plasma 'nades down the stairs, are you gonna go down there? at all? Especially knowing that there are no other exists? A resonable answer would be 'no', or perharps 'ill wait for the grenadier to reload'. But what people really do is rush down stairs not carring 'cause the worst that can happen is they'll take a few damage points, which will result in Grief point on the Grenadier's side, who in turn, was handling the situation/spawn room on his own. Also, as it seems very wierd from everyone that i'd rack up 600 griefpoints in the first place. Well let me explain a few things about that since its such a big fuss. In a base firefight, lets say like on Gunuku, where the siege takes over 2 hours straight, in which time i die maybe 30-40 times, and go to the nearest AMS to reload my weapon (pulsar) over 100 times, everytime someone makes a dash for it without thinking as there are around 50 people shooting at the gate, its between 8 to 20 damage points a shot. Now some of those lunatics actually dash forward and not sideways, resulting in multiple hits in the back from a single firing angle, resulting in another 8 to 20 damage points. Add to that the mysterious Multiplier and you are near 50-80 damage points. Now convert that in Grief point, and multiply that by 2 hours. Now keep in mind that i am zoomed in and firing in one single direction (not shooting blindly). And also keep in mine that griefpoints don't go down as fast as they go up. Also take into account that on the last labor weekend, i played roughtly 35-40 hours in the weekend. I went up 4 Cr levels during that time. Now tell me its impossible for me to rack up 400-600 griefpoints. If you can't, you are obviously not doing what i'm doing. That's sniping, taking it back or driving a vehicule. On a side note to that, wouldn't healing or repairing help griefpoints? I've noted that while your weapon is locked, you cannot heal or repair others, why is that? I'm not looking for redemption, but in my position, it really isn't my fault and i certainly don't kill or hurt friendlies because i want to. But that does not even allow me to heal them?!!. |
