If they nerf the flail, what point is there to using it?

They should make it defensless against air vehicles, and they should also make it so it CANNOT aim low, therefore it cannot spam inside doors at towers.

Flail may be artillery, but artillery is notoriously weak against air attacks. Besides, bringing in a one-hit-kill weapon against MAXs makes them worthless outdoors, and that's where they were supposed to be worth something. I was running along yesterday with 591 armor and full health. Suddenly, me, another max next to me, and about four other guys fall down dead. We were spread over a good 20 meters. Is this artillery or nuclear proliferation here? I don't mind something packing a punch, but if it does, it needs to require some degree of skill, and a large blast radius doesn't.
Max suits are supposed to shine outdoors? It was always my impression that they were supposed to shine indoors and vehicles stomped MAXs into dust outdoors.

But you only get one shot every 7-8 seconds so you really have to make those count. And if the maxes were standing in the open together, they may have been lazed from 1 km away by an infil who was targeting for someone

Also, the flail has No defense up close, the range minumum is like 50+100 metres on flat ground depending on the surroundings.

I got killed once because a CE ran up to me from behind and placed tons of detpacks

In real life artillery has a much bigger blast radius than 20 metres

Flails are just targeting practice for aircraft.

Think of what 1 liberator can do to a group of flails...

It only takes 5 anti-vehicle bombs to destroy an AMS; 1 lib with an idiot bomber could take out flails all day since they can't aim straight up, as I recall.

Me and my buddy drove around in his Mag for a good 2 hours around a TR base, shooting anything that moved, and as such, we were able to take the base. The TR couldn't escape the base. We had the tower, we had AMS's close. We even were fortunate to have a Teleport pad right into the core. Our mag efforts kept the nme from getting too far away, and allowed our infiltrators to sneak in and one of the managed to find a hiding spot for a telepad. Things would have been no different if me and my buddy were manning Flails. Well, maybe a little. Unless we each covered a side, the nme would have an escape route. Of course, that would have left each of us weakened to a charge of Prowlers, or Sunderers, or Lightnings. Sure, it sucks getting hit with a Flail shot, and being killed instantly. Don't you think it's not as equally annoying for me to be hit with a Vanguard shell, and dying just as instantly?



If your a squad leader u can sent WAYPOINTS for yourself or your squad mates to shoot at. Bet u didnt know that i use it all the time very effective.

OMG YOU GUYS ARE DRASTECLY UNDER ESTIMATING THE POWER OF THE FLAIL!! I shoot more aircraft down with my flail then i kill ground vehicle!! The FLAIL is one of the most powerful AA platforms. LOL this night i got 25+ air kills and last night i got 18+!!! HAHAHAHA the FLAIL IS Ub3r!(in the right hands)

I do admit the LIBERATOR is one of the flails worst enemys. But all u have to do is undeploy and move out of way. I have not once even been targeted by a Liberator(very weird).
