Not much of a beating if you ask me. The kid "getting beaten" was able to walk away. He was not left unconcious on the floor. Heck, he was not even limping or favoring a limb.

Yeah. A good beating is one one you just don't get up from right away.

Also, we really don't know what happened before the fight. Could be the other kid was teasing the white t-shirt kid before he hauled off and wailed on him. So, judging peoples behavior before knowing all the facts is wrong.

I remember back in second grade, I got beat up. It was before school. A 5th grader walked up to me and gave me an evil look. Then he punched me in the stomach in front of everyone on the playground. God that hurt! I never found out why he punched me. When I went to the nurse's office, she asked who hit me. I knew his name, and I told her. But he never got in trouble. I hated that school...

Yea.. the guy just received a couple of good punches the rest I do beleive only got near him or got blocked so.... since he was standing wasnt holding anything and walked perfectly fine... I call that a non-ass beat!

I remember fights where I would end up coughing up blood or just laid there... I won some I lost some... basicly always ended up in one or the other guy passing out with too many bruises

That was not an ass beating, it was someone trying to give an ass beating and failing miserably. If the guy doing the punching had connected with all those the kid wouldn't have walked away like nothing happened. If anything it looked like only maybe one or two even connected solidly and by the way the kid was punching there most likely wasn't a whole lot of power behind any of them.

On a side note does anyone else find it amusing and slightly sad that no one other than the bus driver even tried to stop it? They all just got good seats and watched.

i wouldn't blame them, they're just trying to avoid the same sort of physical injury the guy getting beaten up on is recieving. the bus driver was the only one who reacted because he's a lot larger and tougher than the kids.

So what... the kid got punched a couple times. No harm done, besides he sure as hell didnt try to fight back. Why piss off the kids that you know will just try to kill you?

Wow, that went on for a LOT longer then I would have expected... But what could the driver do? A ~70 year old lady, any kid past 10 years old is stronger then she is...

And 90% of you guys are students, you know exactly what would happen to anyone that stepped in to stop the fight. They would get in trouble themselves... What "should" have happened? Some kid comes up behind the bully and elbow drops him in the kidney... Let EMS figure out what to do with him.

What would happen if that actually happened? The instigator would have got nothing and the person that stopped the fight would have got in trouble.

I still remember that video from ~1990 where some adult guy starts beating on some younger guy, and this HUGE black guy (which turned out to be a boxer) came up and one-hit KOed the instigator. What happened to the boxer? He was thanked and regarded as a hero...

So what are we teaching our kids? Only adults are allowed to stop fights? Only adults are allowed to make decisions to help other people?
