I liked magic well enough, the killer for me was right around the first urza's series. THe promo card (foil lightning dragon incidently there were either no foils, or this was the first set to have foils, but i believe that was next set) had the artwork done by Ron Spencer. Who happens to live near where the tourny was so he was always signing stuff. Everyone talking about putting the promo card on ebay was a good sign for me to get out of the game. Plus i'd hate setting up with a theme deck (sapprolings, thalids, thrulls ) and watching some little shit go for a third turn kill (with proxies wtf). I mean if i wanted a 4 turn kill i have decks that will do that reliably, but that was never much fun for me. The other big thing was you had your 2 person decks, and you had tyour big ass brawling decks. That was the most fun everyone going after everyone else.
