I'm hoping to go see that, assuming I can afford a trip to the theatre. I like Tom Cruise and the story sounds kind of cool..

On the other hand, I wouldn't necessarily recommend Timeline. There was ONE LITTLE THING about it that really annoyed me - the English occupying Medieval France spoke a perfect STANDARD MODERN English dialect! Argh!! Completely unfounded...

I kept making comments on the historical and linguistic accuracy... I guess you can't take that kind of movie *too* seriously, but STILL! If they weren't speaking Chaucerian English it would've been hella effing hard to actually hold a conversation! It would've been IMPOSSIBLE, actually! @_@ retards.

Also, there are plenty of samurai in Japan still. The script-writer probably thought he was a smart little shit.

Yeah, the movie was pretty sweet. I think it's up there with movies like Gladiator, The Patriot, and Saving Private Ryan and stuff. 'Kay, now you can make fun of Tom Cruise some more and say I'm crazy.
